As technology continues to reshape the global economy, critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaborative work are essential skills for aspiring digital entrepreneurs. Youngsters represent the future of Europe’s workforce and economy, and equipping them with robust digital skills is essential for fostering innovation, economic growth, and global competitiveness.

However, according to the European Commission (2023), despite some efforts from member states and the old strategies from the EU, the digital education and training sector needs more investment in areas such as infrastructure, equipment and content, teacher and staff skills, and policy evaluation and monitoring.

This project aims to make youngsters aware of the importance of digital literacy for the workplace, providing a better understanding of digital jobs or jobs related to the digital world. It is necessary for youngsters to know what skills are relevant to develop and what their role could be in a team. That is where using escape games comes into play.

By encouraging youngsters to collaborate towards a common goal and solve enigmas together, tapping into the variety of skills in the group, educators can help them unlock a better knowledge of the workplace and, ultimately, of the many opportunities they can have in digital entrepreneurship.
